I have not yet seen the book, but had heard of it and wasn't especially interested until I heard the author flogging it on KPFK (Letters & Politics, 7 March 2017, Mitt Jesserich of KPFA). There was an network of interested parties that had much to do with our foreign policy towards Cuba in Robert Lansing's day, for example, when the Liberal party in 1917 was popular, and interests were represented by Sullivan & Cromwell (attorneys), the Schroeder Bank, etc.
