Mary Stewart is one of my favorite authors and I love this romantic suspense. It takes place in Greece and the author has the ability to make you feel you are there. I ordered this so I could have a newer copy, but have read it several times. Her books are a great escape.

A well-crafted mystery yarn by a master suspense writer. Awash in local color (it's set in sunny Greece) this is a fun way to while away some time, especially in the cold-weather months. :-)

I read this Mary Stewart book as a way to visit Greece. It was an excellent visit to Greece with a lot of mystery and suspense. Her characters and plot were excellent and her writing was remarkable. This book is a real classic and I look forward to reading more of her books in the near future.

ONLY A MOMENT BEFORE -- Camilla Haven had been sitting quietly in a crowded Athens café writing to a friend, "Nothing ever happens to me...."

Then, without warning, a stranger approached, thrust a set of car keys at her and pointed to a huge black touring car parked at the curb."The car for Delphi mademoiselle....A matter of life and death," he whispered and disappeared.

From that moment Camilla embarked on a nightmare of intrigue and terror beyond her wildest daydreams.
