I would have considered myself a Kevhead back in the day. AND enjoyed Kev at the Comedy Club. Was very curious about this book. While I enjoyed the references to familiar places in Grand Rapids, I can say I was honestly surprised by the author's spirituality. He never let on during his years on the radio, and understandibly so. He confesses to his mistakes honestly and with heart felt sincerity.
He IS very passionate about his beliefs, and I respect him for his honesty and vulnerability in the book.
I am not Catholic. So the actual Mary parts of the book, which take up the last half of the book were hard for me to relate to.
However, if this book brings someone some peace, I can honestly say I'm thrilled.
I didn't find the whole content very deep, and it is a quick read.
Thanks, Kev and Jim Shorts for all the stomach pain from laughing. I'm glad you found your peace with God!!
