Bringing up Baby NY: Bachelor Joe Northwood had it made. He came home every night to find the pillows fluffed, his sheets drawn back . . . courtesy of his sexy hosuekeeper. As the New Year approached Joe's only resultion was to catch Darcie O'Banyon under the mistletoe, but he got more than he bargained for . . . Darcie had a baby! (excerpted from back cover)
Frisky Business: Continuous fighting in the office got Kyle Sanders and Laura Everett shipped out to the wilderness to learn to cooperate . . . or else. When they learned their company was at risk in a merger they escaped in a "not technically stolen" car and learned that losing their jobs was the least of their worries, when they were so close to losing their hearts. ((excerpted from back cover)

Not having to pay rent is a good way to save money. Joe Northwood wants to open his own business. In order to save money, he is house-sitting for the winter. The beautiful house even includes a cleaning service called "The French Maid". Joe imagines a sexy housekeeper in a little French Maid's costume. But when he meets Darcie O'Banyon, he finds a no-nonsense Irish woman with a baby. The baby certainly was not part of his fantasy.
I usually like Vicki Lewis Thompson's humor, but I didn't care for this book. Joe jumps from one dumb conclusion to the next. It was supposed to be funny, but it didn't work for my. My rating: 2 Stars.
