A tale of suspense, romance, & mending bridges...

I am new to this series but A Bridge Unbroken grabbed me, pulled me in, and kept me hostage until I had finished. In many ways it is a suspense story, and I just love suspense, and yet it was so much more.
A Bridge Unbroken is an emotionally gripping story of forgiveness. One of the things that really jumped out at me is how we so often conveniently forget to take responsibility for our own part in things. Kind of personally convicting, gently poking at me to do some thinking and mending my ways a bit.

I loved the characters. I so much wanted everything to work out for Dakota, for her to find what she was really looking for. Chance just made me so mad and yet I couldn't help but like him.
Cathy Bryant is so very good at taking her readers and immersing them into the story in such a way that you are emotionally involved. In a way it reminded me of L.M. Montgomery's ability to the same thing.

I loved both the small town feel with that everyone-knows-everything-about-you feel, and the suspense angle that kept me guessing who was out to get Dakota. The blend of both is perfect in this story.

As I said before, I am new to the series, but after this I surely won't be a stranger to Miller's Creek. Cathy Bryant has me hook, line, and bookmark.

(I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for my review. All opinions are my own.)
