I didn't like this book nearly as much as Hatchet and Brian's winter. The author spends too much time listing the items which will be brought on the trip. By the time Brian finally makes it to Canada, his trip seems like a let down.

This was a good book. I especially liked the part about Brian and his therapist becoming friends and Brian writing to him in the wilderness. It was nice for him to find a family too. My son loved this series and read all 5 books twice within 2 weeks.
