H. Rider Haggard was THE bestselling author of his day. Readers waited, nearly sick with anticipation, for his next book to be released. This is not his most famous work (that would be 'King Solomon's Mines', made into a movie three times so far and the origin of the Allan Quartermain character in 'The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen') but this is an equally rousing tale of two brother-knights in love with the same fair lady, set against the time and exotic backdrops of the Crusades. Highly recommended, Rider never disappoints.

LOVED this book. My 18 year old son didn't want to read it, he said it seemed like a girl's book. I finally talked him into reading it and he LOVED it. Then my 15 year old son read it and he LOVED it. Just a great clean adventure book for guys, girls or the whole family.
