If you enjoy reading this genre of literature, you will definitely enjoy this book. I don't always read books in sequence, but as you can tell, it is part of a series, so if it is very important to you to read things in order, read the first two books first.
I find this type of book enjoyable reading because it is "clean" and describes a lifestyle and culture that is different from my own. It is not complicated or serious fiction - often you can predict how things will turn out in the end, but they almost always have a little turn or two you might not quite have predicted.

I loved Annie's People Series. It was very hard to put down.
good book.
I've read lots of Beverly Lewis' books and I love each one!
At the end of this book I was upset because I wanted the story to continue!!! Really awesome 3 part series.
NYT bestselling author Beverly Lewis. Portrait of the Amish community.
This was a great book! Answers most of the questions brought up in the former two books. Leaves you wanting to follow the lives of Annie, Ben and Esther longer. Surely we won't be left wondering about Annie's friend, Lou. Would really like to see a 4th book!
Awsome book..... Love the Amish stories.
The final installment of another fantastic trilogy by Beverly Lewis about the struggles of living Amish in an "English" world.
I enjoyed this book as I did the first 2.
Great book last in the series
I have read all of Beverly Lewis's books and they are sooo good! She is one of my favorite authors. Can't wait for her newest book!

Annie's People, my favorite series of Beverly Lewis.
A wonderful conclusion to Annie's People trilogy. If you like Beverly, you'll love this one too. Didn't see the twist coming, which always is a good thing, but I'm a sucker for happy endings! :)
Super book! I am sad this series is over.
Final book in the trilogy of Annie's People. The people are al abuzz abour Zeke's arrest, but I can't allow myself to stew, 'cause I need all my strength and courage to help dear Essie and her children, who are floundering so. Even though Essie is holding fast to her newfound faith, she also seems to be holding her breath about Zeke. We all are, really. Because what one person may be found guilty of affects us all.
I am holding my breath too, counting the days till my six-month promise ends. Then I can pick up where I left off with easel and paintbrush...
Despite Ben's departure, my life has not returned to normal. Truth be known, my dreams of Ben keep me awake long into the night. Daydreams distrat me, too. Images I will into existence bymy fobidden yearnings, intermixed as they are with my sdaness at having sent Ben away. Still, I try to remember what the Good Book says, "Blessed are they that mourn, for they shall be comforted...."

A heartwarming story!! A great read!! I enjoyed it!!
The author makes you want to sit down and read begining to end without stopping. It will either make you question the path you are following or reaffirm your belief in God. I look forward to reading the other books that are a part of this series.
Just loved it. Couldn't put it down.
The Annie's People series is one of the best Amish series that I have ever read!

This is a book based in a fictional Amish setting, but Beverly Lewis' mother came from a Plain family, so her story has believable settings. Very, very good book.
Annie Zook, the Amish preacher's daughtet, is caught between two worlds. Living with shunned Esther, Annie longs to return to her forbidden art and the idyllic days spent with Englisher Ben Martin, before her father ordered her never to see him again.
Stunned when family secrets come to light, Ben determines to solve the mystery of his past. Will his future include Annie-or will the Brethern always stand between them?
Magnificent story. Full of surprises. Excellent author.

It was a wonderful end to the series. Beverly Lewis sure makes you feel like your part of the Amish community. Once again BRAVO.

Book 3 in the Annie's People series. Problems of religion vs. faith.
I really liked the book
I found this book to be a really great read! I couldn't put it down. I loved the complete set and couldn't wait to find out what was going to happen to the realistic characters. Beverly Lewis is a great story teller and I absolutely love her books.
I loved this book! Of course, I love all of Beverly Lewis' Amish books!
This is a great ending to a three part series. Each book the story was greater. This book is part 3 of the annie's people series.
Gift copy!
The final book in the trilogy Annie's People, The Brethren picks up with Annie beginning her six month agreement with her preacher father to not paint anything. Annie has also moved into the home of her friend, Essie, who is a shunned member of the Amish community for having come to believe in a religious thought different than their own. Also back is Ben, the Englisher of the previous novel, who is trying to grapple with his own identity and his love for Annie.
Lewis is an excellent storyteller and this novel brings the Amish community to life vividly. I could sympathize with Annie and her torn heart, and I could appreciate the mysteries surrounding the appearance of Ben.books. Overall this is a well-done book and another fine example of Lewis's ability to share the Amish life and create characters who will live in your heart for a long time to come. Highly Recommended!

Well written but a little disappointing.Nnot as good as the first two.
WHAT CAN I SAY,TERRIFIC BOOKS,IF YOU HAVEN'T READ THEM,WHAT ARE YOU WAITING ON?
very good
A "wonderful-gut" end to the series. I struggled through the series at first because of the abuse issues, but this third book if worth the sadness in the first two. I was so happy for the ending that I had to stay up late to finished the book with about 50 or so pages to go. Another quick read and I suggest that you read this series in quick order.
Beverly Lewis does it again with the Annie's People series. Great story line - couldn't put this one down. The author's Amish background and knowlege of the area just pulls the reader into the lives of each character. Excellent read!!
Beverly, you've done it again!!! This is a GREAT book!!! I would recommend it to anyone of any age!!! Though it does have some romance... But overall it's a GREAT book!!! Loved it!!!
