I thoroughly enjoyed this book! This is the first book where we meet Tristan Lennox and the puritan Arian who lands in his (modern-day) time. If you enjoyed this one you will also enjoy the sequel - Touch of Enchantment - where the Lennox tale continues.

Loved It! a Fun read.
Arian has always wanted to be able to do magic and she is finally succeeding, only to be put on trial in Purtain Massachusetts. Only she finds herself hurled into the future 300 yrs. Where she meets an executive and soon there is a new kinda of magic cookin up.
Tristan is an executive that has created some amazing computer chips. But there is something in his past that still haunts him.
Could Arian hold the secret?
I liked the characters even if it was a bit on the "perfect" side.

Boy millionaire Tristan Lennox, a pagan satyr in a $2000 suit, throws an annual magic contest in Manhattan to try to trace his former partner, who stole a magic computer program named Warlock and disappeared into the ether. Smack into the middle of his special event, riding her willow broom, flies Arian Whitewood, a 17th-century witchlet from Massachusetts, who rubbed her emerald amulet and conjured herself away from the mob of Puritans who were trying to drown her. Arian, petite and fiery, has to contend with the new magic of the 20th century; and Tristan has to learn to trust again, as is the vogue. Medeiros is unrelievedly cute as she shuttles her characters back and forth across the centuries. It's a fairy tale wherein Prince Charming carries condoms.

This was one of my most favorite books! It kept me riveted and up all night a couple of nights! I haven't read one like that in a very long time! The beginning gets you going and you never have a dull moment during the whole book and the ending delightful! Enjoy! : )

Teresa Medeiros is always a creative author and this in another excellent outing for her. A good read if you enjoy a bit of time travel and/or the supernatural with your romance.

Reclusive millionaire Tristan Lennox says he'll pay one million dollars to anyone who proves that magic exists. Tristan doesn't believe in magic. He wants to smoke out his former business partner who once tried to kill him. But Tristan doesn't expect a woman flying on a broom to disrupt his contest. Arian Whitewood is escaping from a mob who wanted to drown her as a witch. She doesn't expect to be thrust 300 years into the future when she falls out of air and at the feet of Tristan. Right away he believes she may have been planted by his former partner. But soon Arian's innocence is charming Tristan into believing that magic just may exist.
I've always enjoyed a good time travel story, but this one was just too light for me. Arian has very little problem functioning in the future and seems to take everything in stride. I was confused by Tristan having this contest about magic when he clearly doesn't believe in it. We did not find out the reason for his contest until the middle of the book. I thought that should have been clarified much earlier in the book. There were some funny parts of the book, especially Tristan's inept bodyguard, Sven.
Looking at the reviews, most people liked this book more than I did. I think I will give the second book in the series a try to see if I like it better. My rating: 3 Stars.

When I placed my order for this book, I thought I was getting a fantasy story about magic, no a romance story. However, as it turned out, it is of course, a fantasy story about magic, but also a romance story! And a fun fantasy/romance story it is. I enjoyed it very much; just when I thought the story would end, there was more! The author really knows how to spin a good tale! I highly recommend it for anyone who likes both fantasy and romance novels.

An exquisite enchantress lost in time. Arian whitewood hadn't quite got the hang of the powerful amulet she'd inheritated from her mother, but she never expected it to whisk her more than three hundred years into the future. Flying unsteadily on her broomstick, she suddenly finds herself among towers of glass and metal, then tumbling from the sky to land at the feet of a man whose frost-grey eyes and a seemingly flint-hard heart.
A skeptical tycoon out of his element.
Reclusive billionaire Tristan lennox didn't belive in magic, but he had his own reasons for offering one million dollars to anyone who could prove it existed. Now he finds himself besieged by fakes, frauds, and an old nemesis ready to leap on this opportunity to destroy him. But the smoky-voiced beauty who appeared to fall from the clouds into his climate-controlled existence is something else entirely- a woman able to enchant his lonely heart with wonder, but who can't possibly be what she seems...

What a fabulous book! I couldn't put it down.
from Amazon...
In BREATH OF MAGIC, the hero is Tristan, a genius (and gorgeous) boy millionaire living the life in Manhattan. So what if he's something of a recluse? So what if he is obsessed with magic - to the point of risking his personal and professional reputation? So what if his heart is as cold as his icy eyes? Tristan is determined never to be hurt by anyone, even though he is the loneliest of souls.
Enter Arian, a 17th century Puritan witch (white witch, of course). Escaping an angry mob determined to drown her, Arian literally flies in on a broomstick and crash lands on Tristan's doorstep in the 1990s - in the middle of a press conference! What is it about this wacky, lovely witch that finally melts Tristan's heart?
I enjoyed this book. For a time-travel romance, it is pretty refreshing to have the guy be the modern-day hero and the girl be the fantasy lover from a different time and place. Also, Arian's curiosity with the modern world is fun. I loved how she practically flooded the building with her fascination over the "chamber pot."

Loved the story. Enjoyed the way it was written & the plot.
A bewitching time-travel romance that shimmers with love and laughter. An enchantress from seventeenth-century Massachusetts collides with a future beyond her imagining and with a handsome cynic who's about to learn a lesson in the power of love.
I liked this book overall. I loved the fact that she went FORWARD into the future instead of the past like most time travel books do.
I didn't like the fact that she seemed to adapt pretty well to things in the future. I did love her reaction to seeing a horse for the first time--that was great.
All in all, I did like the book and if there is another in the series, I will read it. :)

This book is a roller-coaster of emotions and plenty of adventure. Definitely interesting and there wasn't once when I was sure of what was going to happen. A must read!
I liked this book simply because Tristan is a computer nerd at heart. He reminds me of my husband in that sense.
A cute, nice read but not one of her best works.
