The Fourteenth novel in the J. P. Beaumont series. Beau has a new partner. Sue Danielson is a struggling single mother. They are asssigned the case of an older women torched to death in a home fire. They become involved in a series of events that leave them and their case shattered. Beau will never be the same again.

A good read. Another, I hate to put this down read.
