A pink sky, pigeons who smoke, five pages in and I am wondering if Jennifer Stevenson would give me my money back. I am completely lost in this book, the storyline is all over the place, I worry about Jewels idea of 'great sex' that involves a swan and cannot figure out how with two men whom neither seem to appeal (other a good time) to Jewel this is a romance novel. I strongly suggest you skip it.

This is a book that I could not finish. It did not flow well. The dialogue was very disjointed and almost as if the character had many characters in her head speaking and acting for her. The heroine was not a likable character from the information given by the author. This is the first book in many years that I wanted to throw against the wall. Maybe someone else will find it interesting.
I dislike giving such a negative review, but the book after an interesting cover and back blurb did not hold my attention. The story could have been much better with a better editing job at the publishing house.

The first half of this book was confusing and all over the place. I could not figure out what was going on at times. I stuck with it because the premise was intriguing. About halfway, it was as though the editor woke up and started doing his/her job and the book got much more understandable and started living up to its potential.

Be warned this is the first in the series, and there are several threads of the storyline that are unresolved at the end, presumably to be dealt with in books 2 or 3.

I almost hate to review this book as it will seriously lessen my chance to exchange it...
A dreadful book. I can read anything.... this I could not make it past the 3rd chapter.

I am no prude, and I do enjoy a nice sexy scene as much as any one, but sex with a swan???! And the heroine was way too annoying to want to spend any time at all with...and really, sex with a swan?!

Sadly i have the 2nd in the series too.... too bad, it is a great concept for a story.

I really liked Trash Sex Magic, her first book. It had this magic realism feel to it. This isn't much like it. It is all over. Very messy. And it isn't quite like anything else I ever read. I waiver between really liking it and totally hating it. But I must say, I'm going to read more by her. Hope she learns to edit. The plot feels too much like a rough draft. But the direction she is going is so interesting that I want to be along on the ride.

This book is about Hinky. Jewel is one sex addict who ends up having two men after her. A fun read, I'm gonna look for her other books now that I've finished this one.Now Jewels the director of the HINKY DIVISION!

This was my first Jennifer Stevenson book and I just loved it !
The story line was a good one, very original, and the characters unforgettable.
Orgasmically funny!

Slightly confusing storyline and VERY abrupt ending even if it is book one. It's hard to like Jewel.
