This is a fun book, a look at zombies from the zombie point of view. It's full of pop culture references to zombie movies and books ... highly entertaining.

With the increasing popularity of the zombie genre it was fun to read a zombie novel that takes a on new perspective. What a fun idea to consider 'life' from a zombie's point of view. I became strangely engrossed in the thoughts of intelligent zombie, Jack Barnes. the book is full of pop culture references and gives answers to many of those things we always wanted to know about zombies such as, if they are dead and rotting won't they eventually rot away to nothing? If you have any interest in the zombie genre I recommend this educational read.

While Robin Becker's writing style is wonderful, the constant pop culture references are more obnoxious than they are witty or clever, jammed in literally every page as they are, and the main character is unlikable and unsympathetic, even for a zombie. Not a bad read, but not exactly a good one, either. The best part was that it was long enough to fill an hour and a half layover.

I got this book because I enjoy the zombie genre and based on the reviews. Unfortunately, I did not agree with the reviews. The idea is unique, a zombie is the one doing the writing - you can see it through the undead's eyes, and you do. However, the main character was very annoying and unlikeable and I did not enjoy the authors writing style. I kept forcing myself to read the book, thinking it would get better, but by the time I was about 1/3 of the way I gave up.

Amazing! Wonderful! Absolutely fantastic! I love this story! A fresh new spin on an old tale. View the zombie apocalypse through the perspective of the undead.
