I felt this was an excellent book. I enjoyed getting a perspective of the life and times during which Roald Dahl lived. I just wish it was a little longer.

Boy: Tales of Childhood by Roald Dahl

Good young adult book. A collection of short stories about Roald Dahl's younger years. Some are very funny and others will make your heart ache. Very quick read.

Roald Dahl is seriously one of my favourite authors. for someone who grew up having problems with dyslexia in reading (me), he kept me entertained all the time. THIS is my favourite of his books (out of the many I've read, that is). I loved reading of all his childhood memories. The stories are fascinating and funny!! I did however read this as a child and not since, but I hope that this book will be something my sons will enjoy (as well as his other books).

Richard Dahl writes tales of his own childhood; fascinating and funny. He nearly lost his nose in a car accident, was a chocolate candy tester for Cadbury's, was involved in the Great Mouse Plot of 1924, writes of his first day of school, on writing letters home, about homesickness, and other subjects. The book is one full of laughs...
