Bound by Desire is a compilation of two books by Mackenzie McKade. I agree with the previous reviewer, this was not your typical erotica novel. The sex scenes were extremely hot, but this book had a very emotional story line. The heroine had to overcome a lot and her journey was not an easy one. I really loved that the author didn't make her a naive twit in the beginning as I have seen in so many other novels like this. This is definitely worth the credit!

Because of her childhood Jessica Evans knows the only person she can rely on is herself. She has a no strings attached affair with sexy cowboy Wade and her best friend Clancey. When Wade proposes to her she turns him down. She is afraid to admit that she has very strong feelings for him and tries to push him out of her life. When her deadbeat father shows up she get the surprise of her life. She has a six year old step sister. Jessica does not want to have feelings for this little girl but when her father leaves without a word and leaves the little girl behind she assumes responsibilty for her. She watches how tender and loving Wade is with her step sister and just falls more in love with him. She has to deceide if she can afford to trust and accept Wade.

The love scenes were hot and kinky. The story at times put you on an emotional roller coaster, especially when it came to the little girl.

This was pretty good. I liked the characters enough that I will be looking for others from this author to see what happens next.
