What a fantastic writer! I find it so intersting to see into the lives of others and Paul Monette gives a fascinating veiw into the last 19 months of his lover's fight with aids. I could not put the book down. Full of the anguish of not being able to obtain the newest of treatment, all the while dealing with the denial and then acceptance of a loss loved one. I shed tears at the end.
I loved this book!!! It was just so beautifully written. It was mesmerizing and I was buried in the pages. I fell in love with Paul and Roger and their doctors. This memoir took me on a gauntlet of emotions and i'll admit I used quite a bit of tissues to get through it, but i'm so glad I had the oppertuity to read it. I feel very humbled being invited into their lives, being able to get to know them, even if just between pages. THis book is simply put as the title says... BORROWED TIME AN AIDS MEMOIR.
