Born to Live Green: Awakening My Heart's Wisdom to the Path of Eco-Intelligent Living
Born to Live Green Awakening My Heart's Wisdom to the Path of EcoIntelligent Living Author:Candia Lea Cole In today's eco-challenged times, when our bodies and the earth are suffering from the effects of our unconscious ways of living, our families and communities are calling for an urgent 'time-out'. This `time-out' is an opportunity to start a genuine dialogue about what we can do in our educational lives, to stop perpetuating the stress, chaos, di... more »sconnection, imbalance, and sickness in our lives, and START taking steps to create a more healthy, whole, and nourished eco-existence. In the book "Bring Back the Earth!" I defy the popular mainstream culture's unconscious approach to education which does little to recognize and nurture (the needs of) the `whole' individual and the whole earth. I assert that we are whole, creative people who possess the innate "eco-intelligence" to thrive in our world today, versus barely survive. This book is essentially a 21st century lifestyle education curriculum (and leadership training manual) that supports you and your family in `feeding' and `nourishing' your innate eco-intelligence, -the intelligence that I believe we are all born with that guides us to live in harmony with our ecological needs. I have drawn on my experiences as a nature lover, whole foods cook, and intuitive self-healer, to create an `educational meal' that I believe has the `right ingredients' to stimulate your appetite for learning about eco-intelligent living. Thus, when you open this book, you are going to see chapter titles such as "Planning the Meal" --inspired by my recognition that it's time to address our ecological crisis-, and "Choosing the Ingredients" --inspired by my awareness that we need to adopt principles for living that integrate our personal and planetary needs. You'll also see "Setting the Table"-- inspired by my discovery that we need to adopt healthy learning rituals in our lives that support us in becoming the everyday leaders of a new and sustainable earth, and, in that process, create an educational culture that is responsive to change.« less
