Published in 2002, this book still has great relevance in today's culture. Mab Segrest writes about racial justice, women's rights etc. In this book, she visits various places around the world, highlighting the women that are activists in those areas. It's a good book to read, though it does remind me somewhat of some of the textbooks I read while in college, great information, but a bit slow going. Don't let that stop you from reading it, especially if you are an activist at heart.
