"This particular novel moves along smoothly, and is a joy to read. However, the template Mr. Higgins uses for most of his other writings is in place. We have his boss, we have the token love interest, we have the Israeli agent who works with him, and we have a plethora of bad guys, who all get theirs in the end.

Escape reading at its best..." amazon

Special Agent Paul Chavasse is about to start a much-deserved holiday when he is abruptly pulled back to active duty. He knows that if he's being called into action, a job has gone bad--and it's about to get a lot worse.

As Hitler's private secretary--and an influential member of the Third Reich--Martin Bormann was one of those rare Nazis who managed to simply disappear at the end of World War II. But the terible secrets Bormann carried into oblivion are about to be revealed to the world. A manuscript that exposes former Nazis, who are now in hiding, is up for grabs, and there are those in power who have much to lose with its discovery.

Now, Chavasse must retrieve the Bormann testament before it is buried forever--and him along with it...

This thriller was read by someone else in the family, not by me. It involves a paper that lists former Nazis who are in hiding at the time the story takes place.

This is a reprint of an earlier Higgins novel, "The Testament of Casper Schultz", written in 1962. While it was a good read, it was not up to the standard set by many of of his later works.

A very easy read and a page turner. Mystery, espionage, and romance. Everything you could want in a paperback book.

I love Jack Higgins, he's the best to write books mostly dealing with WWII and such. Love his books and movies based on his work. This is a very good book, go for it.
