I have read several Jodi Picoult books. The books deal with such serious human issues. I don't always agree with her take on the issues, but I am glad they are discussed and brought forth in this manner. Unfortunately, The Book of Two Ways is the first one which, for me, does not elicit that response. At the end, this book feels like a romance trying too hard and unsuccessfully make a bigger, philosophical point.

I really enjoy the Picoult's stories but her last few I have not enjoyed.
I struggled to get through this book. Too much Egyptian references for me.
By page 250 I thought I figured out a twist (2 story timelines). Very disappointed at the end to discover there was no great twist.

I love the author's books but this one did not hold my interest. Too much Egyptian education and not enough meat to the story.
very different read
Initially I had trouble getting into the book. I would say stick with it because once the background information was covered the book was hard to put down. In the end, I really enjoyed it.
