For a craft project,  I am collecting COVERS only from hardcover classic book titles that can be rescued from damaged falling apart books beyond compare.

Do you have any vintage/classic book covers from the 1800's or early 1900's with beautiful engraved covers, raised images, inset pictures or just plain beautiful classic old fashioned covers? Often these vintage books are brittle & old and some just falling apart - but the covers are lovely or fine.

Please don't throw them away, please PM me and thank you!   Jody

TAKEN

If you've ever read Watership Down, you'll enjoy listening to the audio version of the adventures of Hazel, Fiver, Bigwig, Blackberry, Kehaar, General Woundwort, and Firth - brought to life in this special dramatization by the Austrailian Broadcasting Company's Renaissance Players.

Then re-enter that unique and special world.  Find out about the lives of the rabbits after their defeat of Genteral Woundwort in Tales from Watership Down, published nearly a quarter of a century after Watership Down.

Order 1 get the other free.

Watership Down/Audio Cassettes

Tales from Watership Down

Please PM with request and mention this thread.  Thanks for looking!

I have an unpostable copy of East of Eden by John Steinbeck to offer for 1 credit.  It has a school library binding and is a Penguin Twentieth Century Classic, but the ISBN #0140186395 shows it as a paperback.  It is in good condition, but has some pencil underlining in it.  I noticed there are noneof this title available in the system.  PM me if you are interested.

My shelf is 2 for 1 until my birthday!

Pick any 2 books for 1 credit through July 20th. Select one from my shelf and PM me and tell me which free one you would like. I've got a mix of mysteries, inspirational, children's and classics.

Thanks

Renee

Hi there!  Just a little bookshelf promotion.  I just posted a book with analysis of Shakespeare's plays.  Might be a good resource for someone taking a class, or who just wants to get into the details of a play on their own.  I don't have a lot of other classic stuff on my shelf, because I'm too greedy to share my favorites. devil  However, I do have a 2-for-1 deal going on with my shelf, so if you have a ten-year-old that needs some more reading material, you might find something.

The Upstart Crow: Introduction to Shakespeare's Plays (Everyman's University Paperbacks) :: Gareth Lloyd Evans
ISBN-13: 9780460112567 - ISBN-10: 0460112562

ETA: I do have some Wishbone versions of classics for kids who are just getting into chapter books. :)  (Remember the show--"What's the story, Wishbone?")

2 sons are home from college and I posted all their textbooks which were not profitable to sell back.  If your student has an upcoming English Lit class, including poems, plays, and classics, you may find what you need on my shelf.  Thanks for looking!

I have a copy of:

Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte with Free written on the outside cover and a few stains just on the bottom of the pages not even into the interior.

This book has no ISBN. It is a Campus Classic version from 1961

Moving and need to clear out my books.  Also be sure to check out my posting in the book bazar of the books that don't have an ISBN number (alot of classics) as well as my posting for unpostable books.
