I read the first few chapters of this book and found it to be lacking. I just couldn't get into the story and it seemed like the town wanted to focus on gossip and staying as a little mini-Hollywood due to their famous author. Just a disappointing try at a book I believe. So much more could have been done in those first few chapters to really grab onto someone and hold them. But I gave up. I just wish the book was a bit more exciting and get rid of the gossipy people in it!

This book is written like a Lifetime movie. Perhaps it has been one, I wouldn't know, but from page one who are sure of what is going to happen, but somehow it does not deter you from continuing. It is a wholesome book and sometimes that is just what you need. When you need a break from horror, gore, mystery or real life, this is the book to pick. If you ever lived in a small town it will take on another level which is the reminder of the town gossip and how a small town really takes on a life of its own!

This was the first book I have read by this author and I was not disappointed! I loved it! Very funny book with a Christian message to go along. I've lived in a small town growing up and everyone knows everyone's business just like in this book. Can't wait to read the next one in this series!

I really enjoyed this book! Very cute and interesting. This is book one of a two-part book series. Rene Gutteridge is a terrific author!

I didn't know what to expect with this one, and I had never read a book by this author before. I was not disappointed! A horror novelist makes a decision to become a Christian and decides he cannot write any more books in that genre. His writing has brought tourists to the town in droves, and certain people in town are not happy about his decision to quit the horror business. What can be done about it, and will their plan succeed? I was concerned that the horror element would be too much for me, but it isn't. An excellent Christian chick-lit book!
