Anthony Bourdain in essentially a chef. I used to like his show on Food TV. When he started to write novels I thought they'd be real stinkers, but Bone in the Throat was hilarious - full of all sorts of gangsters and crackpots and smack-addict chefs. I loved it.

My book has a different cover than shown here. Wickedly funny and gruesome. Wonderful descriptions of food, almost as yummy as Mr. Bourdain himself. I didn't expect to enjoy this book as much as I did.

The protagonist in the murder mystery/gangland behind the scenes book is a chef. With Tony's experience as a chef and his ability to tell a tale, the dialogue is very realistic and readable. I loved him for his travel program but this novel demonstrates more depth than I expected.
