An enjoyable book about the lives of a group of people living in an apartment building in Bombay. Particularly interesting because it revolves around a Parsi community, a small minority (and therefore less written-about)in India. I recommend it if you enjoy Indian authors!

Another excellent novel by Umrigar. The characters of a small Parsi community are deep and rich with emotion and color. Living as foreigners in their own country brings trials and a sense of a larger family. I always enjoy this author.
