This is the first book by Philippa Gregory I've read and I can hardly put it down!. The characters are vibrant, the deceit is palpable... I can't wait for the rest of the series to arrive this week from Amazon!

This is the 3rd book by this author I have read and it will most likely be the last. The first 2, The Virgin's Lover and the Queen's Fool, I wasn't thrilled with but this was supposed to be the best of the bunch so I gave it a try. To me, it wasn't the best. It was no worse than the others but no better either. I guess I just don't care for the author's writing style, her character depictions or the lack of depth to her work.

I could not put this book down-it was a riveting story of King Henry's court. I loved it.

I couldn't put it down! WOW! Absolutely enchanting!
This book was such frivolous rubbish that after 120 pages I had to count it a loss and quite. I'd rather read a non-fiction account or watch a fictionalized show such as "The Tudors" of these events because I've found them to be more interesting. This book was just blah and pure torture to try and like.
This book is fantastic, the double-crossing scheming Boleyns will keep you up at night until you finish this book. They left so much out of the movie...
This book was so easy to read that I finished it within 3 days! I just could not put it down. I was mesmerized by the story and the way it was told. Very good read!
