When Faith Fairchild is vacationing in Maine's Sanpere Island, she buys a lovely quilt at an estate sale. The quilt turns out to be a map to a treasure, but instead the map leads Faith to akelp covered body floating in a tidal pool. From back of book:

The beautiful handmade quilt Faith Sibley Fairchild buys at an estate auction promises to liven up her deathly dull vacation on Maine's Sanpere Island.

Lovingly constructed by wealthy, deceased and detested Matilda Prescott, Faith's purchase turns out to be quite a bargain indeed--especially when she discovers it to be a map to the old woman's hidden treasure.

But instead of pointing the transplanted New York caterer-turned-minister's-wife toward the fabled Prescott gold, Matilda's artfully crafted clues lead Faith to a kelp-covered corpse floating in a nearby tidal pool-ensnaring the endangered amateur sleuth in the twisted, lethal threads of familial greed and cold blooded murder.

Sort of interesting. Horrible name for an OK book. Basically everyone is up to something and the murder is what catches them all.

Amateur sleuth and minister's wife, Faith Sibley Fairchild, is summering on Sanpere Island off the coast of Maine when she stumbles on a body while walking on the beach, and she soon realizes her vacation is over. This is a wonderful cozy mystery. A quilt eventually solves the mystery.
