I didn't enjoy this book as much as I liked the others. The team investigates two crimes, one being a computer based crime and one being a murder. The one about the murder was interesting but the one about the computer based crime was not. I found myself lost whenever they talked about the computer based crime. I was starting to get the impression that the author had no idea what he was talking about because he did a lousy job explaining the forensics involved in solving that type of crime.

Writing's a little clunky, but it's a good adaptation of the series, and the plot's good.

I love everything Max Collins writes, especially the CSI books.
This one is not as suspenseful as some of his others but still great.

True to the tv show, its characteriztions and action is intense. I love the CSI books being familiar with the show. I read them in the bathroom. It passes the time in a let's say a unstrain manner but interesting. I don't know if I would like any other towns like CSI Miami or New York not watching those shows but I don't like the oriiginal CSI, and I believe you can't beat these books.

I am not a fan of the television show, but Collins has used the show formula to produce a good read. Las Vegas executive assistant Janice Denard discovers evidence of horrific crimes, shocking photographs left abandoned in a computer printer. Now, with the help of the LVPD's computer forensics experts, the CSI team must track through hardware and software, deception and deceit to find the perpetrators. At the same time they uncover new and disturbing evidence in a high-profile media case - the brutal murder of the Mayor's long-missing secretary. Ill be back for more.

Read just like watching one of the episodes on tv. Quick, fast paced with two story lines going on. Very good.

Since I'm such a big fan of the show, I decided to try one of the novelizations. I got caught up in the story easily enough, and even finished the book quickly (a matter of one evening). Reading BODY OF EVIDENCE was a lot like watching an episode of CSI, and yet at the same time there were enough differences to keep it interesting--and, at the same time, irritating.
Character-development doesn't seem to be a big thing in these serial novelizations; nor, in fact, does a believable plot. And this book could have used some editing, as there are a LOT of grammatical errors that took away from my enjoyment of the story throughout the entire book.
But it is a quick read, and it DOES feel like I'm "watching" an episode of CSI. I enjoyed this one enough that I'm now reading a second, so I guess the author did his job!
