Excellent audio book but very long (12 hours)! Gripping tale of survival against the odds. Two women - one witness to a double murder and the other a deputy sheriff sent to investigate a hastily sent 9-1-1 call - flee into a wilderness area to avoid and outwit two hired killers. Well plotted with lots of twists that keep you on the edge. A winner!

This story is all about suspense and keeping the reader off-kilter, as things are not necessarily as they seem. A policewoman is being pursued by killers and with her is a young woman she has rescued from the scene - one who can really get on your nerves because she is such a spoiled barbie doll. The story is all about them running and the pursuit and it keeps you right on your toes and Deaver throws in some twists and turns you will not expect as well as a bit of a relationship situation.

Not only is this a great story but the narrator Holter
Graham brings the characters to life. You would think 10 different people read the story he is so good at voice changes. Not the edge of your seat thriller but you still want to keep listening. Very enjoyable story.
