Yeah, this was a pretty sexy book. For the most part, it was well-written; the sex scenes were graphic and explicit - just what you look for in erotica. The plot was plausible, but I have to nitpik the heroine's character. I found it hard to believe that a woman in her mid-20's who has never had an orgasm could go under hypnosis the very first time an amateur tries it and succeed - um, no. And an expert in Kama Sutra and Tantric sex (supposedly a very smart man) can't put one and one together? Guess he's not so smart. I really couldn't sympathize with the uptight boyfriend, either. Check your brain at the door and enjoy this book strictly for the sex.

I love Opal Carew books but this one was just kind of .... ehhhh..... The two main male characters were just too dudley do rightish to me. The female lead was shy and all that, but then she was also very demanding and ballsy as hell totally out of the blue and without much backstory or explanation of WHY she suddenly has all guts and glory about her. It just wasn't a very convincing read. Great sex in it, which is a major reason this book would be chosen for reading anyway. So you DO get that out of the time you spend turning the pages; just don't expect a great story with lots of depth and character range - cuz you won't be getting it this time.

4.2 stars It was unbelievable that Hanna turned from sexually repressed to sex kitten after one orgasm. But that's the stuff of fantasy and the reason, if not in part, why we read erotica, right? Aside from that, the writing was still good, the characters were enjoyable, and I certainly didn't have a problem with the descriptive sex. The ending surprised me; Grey resolved his feelings to the solution too quickly to be believable, but it didn't stop me from having a good time. Fun read!

Eh. I know one shouldn't read this kind of book expecting a great story, but Opal Carew usually does better than this. As with all her books the sex is steaming but there was just something about this threesome that didn't work. Hanna falls in "love" with JM because she had sex with him but then treats him like a sex toy and walks all over his emotions. Carew wrote JM like a sensitive guy and I felt sorry for him, like Hanna just used him. Grey seemed like a dolt - he wants his girlfriend back but wants to put off saying I Love You although that's the reason she dumped him in the first place. The sex scenes were steamy but the tantric stuff and hypnosis stuff seemed more like something copied from a text book than something natural happening between people. The premise felt forced.

Call me crazy, I just want to like the main characters in a book. And I want the most heroic guy to win the girl. This one just didn't work for me.

The story is unbelievable. You'll have to check your brain at the first page. A woman who has never had an orgasm goes from repressed blushing, almost virginal, woman to a woman who engages in pretty risqué sex. All it took was a good orgasm. Sure.. There's sex and a lot of it, but I didn't feel the connection between the hero and heroine, so the sex just felt "blah". He's a master at various erotic arts. Even teaches a class in it and that's how she meets him when she decides to take the class. This book is definitely not a keeper. I was bored through most of the story.
