Always enjoy Lowell's work. And each of St Kilda's operatives has special knowledge, so keeps us learning about something. Good plot, excellent story.

As a Lowell book, yes it was good. In relation to her other novels, this one felt a little repetitious. If you've read the Rarities series (Die In Plain Sight), then you might feel like you've already read this one.

I have to give it credit as a good read, I just can't give it 5 stars because it felt SO repetitive...And I hate not giving Lowell a glowing review, but this one just didn't impress me as much as I typically am - Just don't get me wrong, it is a GOOD read and it's great because even if it's the 4th in the series, you can read it alone.

Sorry Lowell, but 3.5 stars.

Good book. Lots of adventure, twists, turns, intrigue, even a little romance. Something for everyone. I'd recommend this book to anyone who likes a good investigative/murder mystery.

I thought the book was excellent - a little romance, an involving mystery and a good bit of knowledge about the art world. I liked the characters a lot, especially Jill as a strong, stand-on-your own-woman. The bad guys were really bad; the good guys wise and wonderful. The story moved along nicely. Again, a very good book that you will enjoy.

Great read! St.Kilda's operative re-enter to help a river guide who has inheritted some valuable paintings. Romance and suspense, as Lowell does so well!
