Rice book's are about the Irish culture but this book is about shipping industry as well. It's about the hardships of staying in love when one of your children is handicapped and still trying to keep the romance alive. Rice does this in a very risque way not the usual romantic picnic and then making love afterwards as a typical clique.

The plot is more complex than it appears. I have read all of Luanne Rice's books and this one is not a dissappointer.

This is a very touching story about four generations of family members. It also has a humdinger of an ending after a boat goes missing.
