Ever and Damen are back in the sequel to EVERMORE in BLUE MOON. I knew the book was coming in July. It was on my wish list of books to read. Imagine my surprise when my family returned from a 2-week roadtrip to see the review audio book in my held mail. I totally hadn't expected to get my hands on it prior to its release. So it immediately jumped the queue and I had to find out what happened next in the story of Ever and Damen.

For those wishing to read a Gold Star review, check out the one done for TRT by Sarah Bean the Green Bean Teen Queen at http://www.teensreadtoo.com/BlueMoonNoel.html

From the first words uttered by Ms. Schorr, I was instantly transported back to the world of Ever Bloom. Life has improved a little bit, but there are still many things that Ever wishes she could change. Now that she's immortal, Ms. Schorr conveys the curiosity that Ever has developed. Ever needs to learn all she can from her soul mate, Damen.

As the story progress, Ms. Schorr is able to create each character uniquely. There is no uncertainty in the listener's mind who is supposed to be talking at each moment. Each character has unique qualities courtesy of Ms. Schorr. But ultimately, it's Ever's personality that comes through loud and clear throughout the entire audio book.

BLUE MOON, unabridged on 7 CDs, picks up where EVERMORE ends. As with EVERMORE, BLUE MOON is read by Katie Schorr. It's always best to have the same narrator throughout the series. The reader gets attached to the voice and can picture each character the same way. Ms. Schorr expanded her repertoire in BLUE MOON, taking on the British accent of Roman. It was accomplished just as splendidly as the other characters she's created in THE IMMORTALS series narration to date.

By the time the last words were uttered, I was left gasping and annoyed, knowing that I now have to wait until the release of SHADOWLANDS in January 2010.
