This is the third Elin Hilderbrand book I've read this week and I have to say that this one was my absolute favorite! Not only loved all the characters but the workings of a restaurant from front to back and the dealings with all the different customers were so descriptive that I felt like I was right there at the Blue Bistro every night! Loved it!

This was my first Elin Hilderbrand book and I will definitely be checking out her other works. What a beautifully written story - I cared about each character & enjoyed lots of detail about the daily workings of a restaurant, clientele, food and the roads that lead us to the next chapters of our lives. Really loved it!

Thoroughly enjoyed this book. Never worked in the restaurant business but did work in a resort area and could relate to a lot of the experiences. Highly recommend!

I was in Nantucket last fall and wanted to read a Nantucket book while on the island. I went into a local bookstore and asked for a referral. The bookstore owner didn't hesitate to recommend this book. So glad she did, because I loved it! It's a fast-pace read, a perfect beach book, and the setting is truly ... all Nantucket! If you need a light beach, fun, breezy beach read, this is it! And definitely a must if you love Nantucket and the island life!

I really enjoyed this book, not only because it was set in Nantucket, but it revolved around the world of operating a restaurant, and I learned alot about that world. Elin Hilderbrand always writes a good book with interesting characters.

This book was wonderful! I love the way this author writes. I often forgot it was winter in real life and felt like I was on vacation in Nantucket. Can't wait to read the rest of her books. I'm reading A Summer Affair now and it is just as good. Give it a try.

Adrienne lands a job at a popular Nantucket restaurant and fall in love with one of the owners. But what is Fiona's big secret, and why is Thatcher so closely tied to her?

This book was a good, light beach read. I enjoyed the behind the scenes look at how a restaurant is run and the food descriptions...mmm! The romance part was predictable and so-so.

Really liked it. If you've working in a restaurant before or are a food aficionado, I think you'll really enjoy this book. First book by Elin that I've read, so far so good!

I have read several books by this author and really like them. I did get kind of bored with this one though. I didn't get the relationship between the main characters. It was very interesting reading about the inner workings of the restaurant business, but I was anxious to get to the end of the book so I could move onto to a different one.

Another book set on Nantucket that did not disappoint! This was a great story and reading about the 'inside' of a restaurant business was interesting. It was a little mushy in places but all in all a good read. I've never read a book by Elin Hilderbrand that I didn't enjoy! I would classify it as a fun chic-lit kinda beach read!

Great book. This book was an easy read. Loved the story, working in a fast paced restaurant in the busy season of summer. Can't wait to read another book by this author.

The plot of this romance is weak, but the characters are interesting as are the descriptions of working in an upscale resort restaurant.

I couldn't get into this one, so after about 100 pages, I gave up. It moved very slowly and just wasn't what I wanted to read.

I hadn't read one of her books in four years, so I greatly enjoyed getting back to this writer.

A very different and enjoyable summer romance.

Took a break from literature like "The Shadow of the Wind" and "The Book Thief" and selected "The Blue Bistro" for a quick read about a summer vacation locale rather than my reality of the onset of winter.

Character development was strong enough to keep me interested, although the plot is fairly predictable and you won't find any subplots going on to make the story more interesting. If you are a fan of the chick lit genre, or want to give it a try, I'd recommend this book.

This was my first book that I read by this author and I would be interested in reading another.

The characters are very real. You feel a part of the warm sunshine, even on a cold day.
