I really loved this book. It is the first of a trilogy, the rest of which I also liked very much. I was hesitant to post them, but decided it was time to let them go and maybe someone else could enjoy them. I am actually more fond of all of Jo Ann Ross' earlier books, then of her newer ones(sorry Jo Ann).

This book was exciting from the very beginning! I could not put it down. Set among the cypress of the Lousianna Swamps a family plantation looms out of the mist complete with Romance and Suspense. Hot steamy romance and conflict between the main characters create the perfect novel. This is the first in the Callahan brothers Trilogy, I'm looking forward to reading the rest of the series.

I loved this book, except for the very end. I got the impression the author realized she was running out of time and just needed the story wrapped up. I did like the rest of the book however--Jack and Dani are great characters!

If the other two Callahan Brothers Trilogy books I have sitting on my shelf are as good as this one, I will be a very happy reader. I have been longing for a good love story with lots of emotion and Blue Bayou certainly brought that to me. I will definitely be looking forward to more JoAnn Ross books.

From Our Editors
The first book JoAnn Ross's Callahan Brothers trilogy, Blue Bayou is a suspenseful, passionate, contemporary romantic adventure. As the story unfolds, Jack Callahan has returned to his childhood home in Blue Bayou, Louisiana. Contrary to popular expectation, this bad boy has made good, using his bitter experiences and shadowy past to fuel his career as a bestselling suspense writer. But there's one part of his past he's not ready to face: Danielle Dupree. Thirteen years ago, Dani was the perfect daughter of a prominent local judge, a stubborn man whose plans for his only child didn't include her passionate affair with his housekeeper's wild Cajun son. Things have changed since then. The judge is in jail; Jack owns Dani's family plantation. And widowed Dani is coming home with her young son, in the shadow of scandal and on the brink of financial ruin. Fate is giving Jack and Dani a second chance -- if perilous secrets past and present don't put a stop to their future.... Find out what JoAnn Ross has to say about Blue Bayou and her plans for the Callahan Brothers trilogy in our interview with the author.

The first book in the Callahan Brothers trilogy. This book introduces the moss-draped splendor of Blue Bayou in Louisiana. Danielle Dupree is the daughter of a prominent judge and has been gone from Blue Bayou for several years. Now a widow, she & her son return home. Bad-boy teenage love Jack Callahan is also back which means past secrets must be explored. Great book.

First in a trilogy about the Callahan Brothers.
FROM THE BACK COVER:
"Danielle Dupree, daughter of a prominent judge, was the closest thing to a princess the sleepy Louisiana town of BlueBayou ever had. Her passionae teenage love affair with Jack Callahan was cut short for reasons that were never clear to Dani--but all too obvious to Jack, the sexy bad-boy son of Judge Dupree's housekeeper."
