I ordered this book mainly because of the title - I, too, have a "blood sister" that is as close as, if not more so, a real sister. This book was impossible to put down, to say the least. This is the first book I've read by this author and I truly loved her combination of christian faith and suspense. It kept me guessing to the very end, though I was tempted to read the ending ahead of time. Her choice of plot was very well thought out, I felt. Fortunately I have not had any experience with the hatred and bigotry she portrayed; however, I'm sure it does exist somewhere in parts of the USA. Her characters were extremely well rounded and I really felt as if I "knew" them personally. Anyone who enjoys Christian fiction and suspense will most certainly enjoy this book. I give it 5 stars since that's as high as the ratings go, but I'd give it much more if I was able to.

This book has achieved AND conquered several different levels that one would not expect from a 'Christian' book.
To say how this book is able to captivate readers until the very end is something I've yet to find the words for, but rest assured it is one of the best Christian AND suspence books I've yet to read! (the Bible being an exception of course!)

Great book and story. This was my first book my this author and while there was some spitituality in it, not a whole lot. I really liked the story though of the two friends and how she searched and found out about her "blood sister". I too would do the same for my best friend.

This is another excellent book from Melody Carlson. She knows how to help the reader "walk" in other peoples shoes. It's a sad story of a suicide cuppled with racism but the ending is strong & hope & a strong faith in God are woven throughout. I highly recommend this book to any of you readers who enjoy Melody Carlson's writing.
