I haven't like any of Staub's books, I've tried several and her writing style is mostly just pages of nothing but descriptions with just a little story thrown in about every 20 pages or so.
This one is no exception, I had hoped for a good series to start with this one but I didn't make it past half way. The story is so hard to get into because she drags it out so much with all her unnecessary descriptions and meandering thoughts about this or that and the story is just not developing very fast at all.
I think the concept of the story would have been a good one if it was a tighter story with a little better plot instead of the usual 'revenge' theory for upsetting my life.
I didn't care about any of the characters in this book and between each chapter there is a newspaper article that I just didn't understand the purpose for that and what it was suppose to add to this story.
Overall I think I've reached the end for the author for good.
