The Blood Red Horse is a marvelous account of the Third Crusade of the Christians during from 1185AD to 1193AD and is a great historical novel about this period of history. It covers, not only the Christian view, but also the thoughts and passions of the followers of Mohammed. It has been well researched and is a true picture of the Crusades and those who fought to conquer the enemy, all in the name of their God. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it and immediately began to read the second book in this series, Green Jasper.

An excellent book. My children and I read this book to each other. The only negative is that the old english is not used. It made it a little strange to relate to it being in the middle ages.
