I am a true crime fanatic. It's one of my favorite genres. This book sounded intriguing. It was quite the opposite. The author of this book touts himself as an author of fiction yet this book read like it was written by a middle schooler using a thesaurus! Very wordy at unexpected times and simplistic at unexpected times. So much so I was unable to finish the book. Character development was lacking...I cared little for any character, other than the maimed dog. Sad to say this is one of my least favorite books of all time.
