Thought provoking book about what might happen if adults suddenly began killing all the children.

Creepy story. Very good. I thought the zombie story had been done to death but this is a new one. It's hard to feel a lot of sympathy for the hero for a long time. He knows what needs to be done but avoids it causing death and mayhem but then he finally starts coming around. I would have enjoyed a couple more chapters at the end to tell more about the world after.
Really enjoyed this book. First Clark book for me and as many others have said it won't be my last.
I found myself comparing this book to others I have read, The Stand, Lord of the Flies, Swan Song. Not that they are the same stories but all are great stories of the destruction and reconstruction of society. Books that may not truly be horror but that have horrific things occur in them and show how people or kids in this instance cope with these events.
I loved the ending theories (don't want to spoil it) but I hated that the book ended. I would have loved to have had the story continue. That to me is always a sign of a good story, when it's over you still want more.

Scary story of what could happen if everybody became mentally ill at one time and were bent on destroying their own children.
