I loved having a female lead in an epic fantasy quest! The touching family moments moved me to tears. I closed it wishing I could start book 3 right away.

Was very excited to get my hands on this book. I absolutely loved book 1. This one, not as much. There were parts that I loved. The beginning was a nice start, some of Fallon's training was interesting and the battle and the end was stupendous. The problem I had was all of the in-between. It would lose me sometimes and I would have to make myself focus to get back on track. Never had that issue with the first book. Hoping that this is just 2nd book syndrome and that it really picks up on the the 3rd book.
good read
