This is merely another why bother novel. Why bother to write it; why bother to publish it; why bother to read it. It concerns the on-off romance/friendship of Travis and Condy: two boring people. Travis, incidentally, is the girl, who is for no reason dubbed Blix by Condy. Condy is 25 and a journalist, gambler, and wanna-be author. Blix (Travis) is 19, beautiful, and innocent.
