The phone rings at 8:01 AM...the credit card company's computer is calling again with thier daily offer of credit card protection for the low rate of $34.99...MONTHLY. I decline the offer and ask for the 13th time to send offers via mail and to not call again. I run downastairs after hitting the loo...relief...I thought that the middle eastern accent that wasn't understanding me on the phone who I had to repeat everything to twice might prevent not make it to that sweet relief.
I have a matter of minutes, could be 2 or 50 until the kid awakes. I turn the dryer on to get the wrinkles on the last load that I didn't fold when it stopped. To the garage and grab a Coke from the fridge, double relief. The phone is ringing AGAIN!!! AAAAH!!! Yes, I will have items ready for pickup next Wednesday and they will be on the porch. Another tax donation recepit for the pile, the brown man will like that. OK- the kid is not screaming for me, what next? I pick up the socks and the shoes on the floor and put the newspaper in the recycle bin. I hate picking up socks.
The toys on the livingroom floor get picked up and I finish my Coca-Cola and start towards the kitchen, I pull the garbage and the recycling bin out from under the sink and 25 minutes later...garbage/recycling bags are by the front door, dishes put away, dishwasher loaded and running...now to wipe the counters and stove off...rugs to the laundry room. Where is that Swiffer, where did she hide it?
The second Coca Cola is cold and sweet and I lose it on the halltree when I find the swiffer after 5 minutes of searching. Then the warm laundry on my lap that I am folding, it's heavan until I hear the scream"MOMMMMMMMYYYYY!!!!!!!" I run upstairs and she's stretching and looks like she's a string bean with a sideways smile...forget the laundry...it's time to snuggle.

I like this. It sounds like my days. First with my kids and now with the grandkids that I take care of so the parents can work. I also drink Coke in the morning and all day.
