This book was a quick and enjoyable read that held my interest. I think it was a little more believable than some of the books that Cook has written. The characters are lacking something that his other characters seemed to have.
Just when you thought it was safe to go back to the hospital or your doctor...
This was a good one! Very gripping with well developed likeable characters and an interesting storyline.
shocking story of medical conspiracy. how far will people go to find organ donors?
Robin Cook is back--with a shocking story of medical conspiracy. Today, organ transplants are common miracles of science. But if the supply cannot meet the demand, how far will people go to find donors? Dr. Laurie Montgomery, a forensic pathologist, learns the terrifying answer when she investigates a series of fatal "overdose" of young professionals. Some crimes are beyond comprehension. But seeing is believing...

Medical Examiner Dr. Laurie Mongomery is faced with incoming rushes of bodies whose deaths are quite unexplained. She later finds that the bodies are being injected with cocaine, and these bodies are those of doctors, lawyers, and other higher working-class people. The deaths are connected to the mafia in New York City.
Dr Laurie Montgomery, NYC pathologist, sets out to prove that seemly unrelated deaths by cocaine overdoes of NYC yuppies were not overdoses, but actually murders.
Good read.
Good read.
Forensic pathologist Dr Laurie Montgomery investigates when a series of cocaine deaths has one thing in common - corneal transplants.
he's my favorite author
Another good story featuring one of Robin Cook's best characters: Dr Laurie Montgomery. She fights the mob and her superiors in a story based on Optometry and cocaine overdoses.
