Helpful Score: 3
Just recently started reading Catherine Coulter and really like her FBI series. She writes so that you can actually picture the characters. Good book!
Helpful Score: 2
Superb !! Coulter at her best. More than one plot and lots of action with the twists and turns of the stories.

Fast and interesting read
When six year old Sam Kettering is kidnapped and manages to save himself everything is over, right? Not by a long shot.
One of Coulters FBI thrillers-first published in hardback. Now in paperback, published in 2004
When six year Sam Kettering was kidnapped and manage to save himself, everthing over, right? Not by a long shot. Sheriff Katie Benedict contacts SAm's father Miles Kettering, and exPBI agent, and he and Savich fly to eastern Tenn. to determined why Sam was kidnapped and broght to such an unlikely locale as Jessborough, Tenn. The kidnappers just did not give up. They try again. The question remains: why do the kidnappers want this little boy? The investigation leads to a charismatic, intensel, twenty first century Rasputin. Reverant Sooner McCamy and his gorgeous enigmatic wife, Elsbeth. As if the kidnapping case were not enough, Savich and Sherlock are at the same time desperate to a cold blooded killer of three high school math teacher Washington DC.
The newest installment in historical romance author Coulter's FBI series (Eleventh Hour, etc.) delivers some of the things her fans have come to expect-a fast-moving investigation, a mind-bending mystery-but readers will have difficulties getting past the book's wooden dialogue, pointless plot digressions and superficial characterizations. Married FBI agents Dillon Savich and Lacey Sherlock are on the trail of a serial killer who targets math teachers, but when Sam Kettering, the son of their widower friend Miles, is kidnapped, they turn their attention to getting the boy back. Six-year-old Sam and Sheriff Katie Benedict, of Jessborough, Tenn., already have the situation in hand, however. After escaping from his kidnappers, Sam runs into single mother Katie, and now all they have to do is wait for the cavalry to arrive. To everyone's surprise, the kidnappers resurface, leaving Katie and the FBI wondering who's really behind the attempts. While Savich and Sherlock return to Washington, D.C., to all-too-easily wrap up their serial killer investigation, Miles and Katie pursue their primary suspects and decide whether to marry for the sake of their kids, who bonded instantly. The relationship between Miles and Katie is hasty and underdeveloped, and their brash investigative methods will raise eyebrows. Still, the mystery at the heart of this talky tale is intriguing and the pacing is brisk, which makes this a capable, if not thrilling, summer diversion.

Again a very good book from Catherine Coulter.A child is kidnapped but he is not really the target.
Another good Savich and Sherlock story. This one has some real bizarre plot twists in it. I thoroughly enjoyed the story but then again, I'm a Catherine Coulter fan.
This was a good book. It was exciting and suspenseful. Had a little romance and kept you guessing quite a bit. Enjoyable read.
Savich and Sherlock in action again. Great characters and great writting.
Good suspense story, mixed with humor and romance.
You will not guess the ending on this one....great book as are all of Catherine Coulter.
When I saw "An FBI Thriller" list of 10 books by a NYT Best Selling Author I definitely thought they were worth looking into. When I read all the reviews I was sure I'd found a new favorite author. NOT!!! I found this book to be terribly disappointing. Her plot wasn't bad, actually it had a lot of potential, but IMO the writing was amateurish. Sentences like "he ate his french fry down to the grease." HUH? He "rolled the window down, stuck out his hand, no rain yet." At the end for some reason the killer and the sheriff somehow managed to switch weapons. Sorry folks, but for my money that just isn't good writing. Speaking of money....what a waste.
the FBI thriller books keep you guessing to the end. There is always a little romance thrown in
A great escapist read. To me, typical Catherine Coulter. Good mystery, steamy romance, great way to pass a stormy night. Not surprising or stimulating, but entertaining for sure. Don't have to read this series alone, the entertainment value stands alone. I would read it again.
Kept me interested to the end. A thriller
I've enjoyed the previous Sherlock/Savich novels, but this one struck me as being written by a different author! The style was so different than previous novels - overly simplistic sentence structure was a total turn-off for me. Off my favorite author list this time!
A young boy is kidnapped and the FBI must find out who did it and why?
Exciting FBI thriller from the New York Times Bestseller Catherine Coulter.
First time in paperback, listed as an FBI thriller and New York Times Bestseller. Gripping story line, excellent read.
A kidnapping involving a woman sheriff and an FBI father. A thriller.
A wonderful book.
What dribble! Had potential to make a good story but most of it was just stupid dialogue and a lot of it about what 'turns them on' and I got very tired of reading about hair rollers and you'll never convince me that 5 and 6 year kids act and talk like adults and are so polite it almost makes you throw up.
I got so tired of the slow boring story I thought it would never get anywhere so I skipped and skimmed and got the main part and finished as quick as I could so I can move on to something worth while to read.

Part of the FBI series. These books are great. Catherine Coulter does alot of romance stuff to, but these FBI thrillers are great. Suspense and romance blended together to make the book a must-read. I could hardly put it down and then I couldn't wait to read the next one in the series.
Excellent book with a super ending.
An FBI thriller. Kidnapping, the boy excapes, they try again. Why?
Plus the murder of three high school math teachers. Intense, hard to put down.

Why do kidnappers want six year old Sam Kettering so badly. the answers come in many twists and turns.
Excellent mystery/thriller. If you have enjoyed Catherine Coulter's novels before, you will love this one. If this is your first one, you will be hooked!
A great thriller...couldn't put it down!
A quick read, but really enjoyable. This was one I could hardly wait to get back to if I was interrupted.
Given to me by my Mom and I do not like thriller books.
Another FBI thriller starring the married team of Sherlock and Savich.
A little boy is kidnapped, and escapes his captors. That should be the end of it, but they keep trying to catch him again. Why?

One of the FBI series. Nice quick read.
This book is amazing! I love this series by Catherine Coulter, I have read them all, but this one was one of the best! If you enjoy reading Catherine's books and haven't tried this series, I highly recommend!
Wonderful.
A quick mystery...great summer read.
I admit to being a fan of Catherine Coulters FBI series. I find the books interesting, thrilling, and she adds a bit of humor in her writing.
An FBI Thriller
From the FBI Thriller series. Comes after Eleventh Hour.
Great book! Coulter delivers in this book with it's continuous turns and surprises.
This is the 8th in the Savich/Sherlock FBI series. This is actually the first one I read and I was hooked. I have since then gone back and started from the beginning of the series. I just love this author. This books starts with the escape of a young boy who was kidnapped and involves the daring rescue by the local sheriff and her daughter, I couldn't put it down!

Good Story
A Savich & Sherlock mystery.
very good
The Savich and Sherlock series are great thrillers. Right up there with Patterson and Sandford. Great characters!
From back cover:
When six-year-old Sam Kettering is kidnapped and then manages to save himself, Savich and Sherlock join his father-former FBI agent Miles Kettering-to determine why Sam would be abducted and brought to eastern Tennessee. Although the local sheriff, Katie Benedict, kills the kidnappers, the attempts do not stop. The investigation leads them to charismatic, intense evangelist Reverend Sooner McCamy and his enigmatic wife.

very good
Very, very good book. I hated to put it down. A real page turner.
Decent book. Something I read between books I really wanted to read.
Another in the series about two married FBI agents who try to save a kidnapped boy who happens to be Sam, the son of Miles Kettering. Sherlock and Savich fly to eastern Tennessee, and aided by local sheriff Katie Benedict, they try to find Sam before it's too late. Good book, although not as good as some of the others in the series.
As usual, Ms Coulter keeps you turning the pages! Good book.
Hadn't read one of her books in awhile and I enjoyed this one alot. Very good characters and story line. Keeps you wanting to read more.
This book was very well written and had me interested from page one and there were times that I wish that I could have jumped in and helped the characters. Though I wanted them to fall in love. Well not saying anymore for I don't want to ruin the plot.
Blind Side proved to be one of my favorites from Catherine Coulter.
Savitch and Sherlock have two cases to deal with. A kidnapped child of a friend and a serial killer targeting math teachers. Pretty good book
Another favorite combination, cops, FBI, small town Tennessee, the kidnap of small boy, a reverend and his wife, and the killing of three math teachers in D.C. Good suspense and great development of characters.
Great book, you won't want to put it down. The characters are fun and realistic so are the events.
Another FBI thriller featuring Savich and Sherlock - addicting and fun to read.
