This is a series, I have read all the books in the series, and its great, but if you haven't read the series your still able to pick this book up and read it, and its great, and keeps you guessing till the end. I didn't read the series of books in order, I jumped around, lol

The newest installment in historical romance author Coulter's FBI series (Eleventh Hour, etc.) delivers some of the things her fans have come to expect-a fast-moving investigation, a mind-bending mystery-but readers will have difficulties getting past the book's wooden dialogue, pointless plot digressions and superficial characterizations. Married FBI agents Dillon Savich and Lacey Sherlock are on the trail of a serial killer who targets math teachers, but when Sam Kettering, the son of their widower friend Miles, is kidnapped, they turn their attention to getting the boy back. Six-year-old Sam and Sheriff Katie Benedict, of Jessborough, Tenn., already have the situation in hand, however. After escaping from his kidnappers, Sam runs into single mother Katie, and now all they have to do is wait for the cavalry to arrive. To everyone's surprise, the kidnappers resurface, leaving Katie and the FBI wondering who's really behind the attempts. While Savich and Sherlock return to Washington, D.C., to all-too-easily wrap up their serial killer investigation, Miles and Katie pursue their primary suspects and decide whether to marry for the sake of their kids, who bonded instantly. The relationship between Miles and Katie is hasty and underdeveloped, and their brash investigative methods will raise eyebrows. Still, the mystery at the heart of this talky tale is intriguing and the pacing is brisk, which makes this a capable, if not thrilling, summer diversion.

Again a very good book from Catherine Coulter.A child is kidnapped but he is not really the target.
Another good Savich and Sherlock story. This one has some real bizarre plot twists in it. I thoroughly enjoyed the story but then again, I'm a Catherine Coulter fan.
This was a good book. It was exciting and suspenseful. Had a little romance and kept you guessing quite a bit. Enjoyable read.

When I saw "An FBI Thriller" list of 10 books by a NYT Best Selling Author I definitely thought they were worth looking into. When I read all the reviews I was sure I'd found a new favorite author. NOT!!! I found this book to be terribly disappointing. Her plot wasn't bad, actually it had a lot of potential, but IMO the writing was amateurish. Sentences like "he ate his french fry down to the grease." HUH? He "rolled the window down, stuck out his hand, no rain yet." At the end for some reason the killer and the sheriff somehow managed to switch weapons. Sorry folks, but for my money that just isn't good writing. Speaking of money....what a waste.

A great escapist read. To me, typical Catherine Coulter. Good mystery, steamy romance, great way to pass a stormy night. Not surprising or stimulating, but entertaining for sure. Don't have to read this series alone, the entertainment value stands alone. I would read it again.
Kept me interested to the end. A thriller
I've enjoyed the previous Sherlock/Savich novels, but this one struck me as being written by a different author! The style was so different than previous novels - overly simplistic sentence structure was a total turn-off for me. Off my favorite author list this time!

What dribble! Had potential to make a good story but most of it was just stupid dialogue and a lot of it about what 'turns them on' and I got very tired of reading about hair rollers and you'll never convince me that 5 and 6 year kids act and talk like adults and are so polite it almost makes you throw up.
I got so tired of the slow boring story I thought it would never get anywhere so I skipped and skimmed and got the main part and finished as quick as I could so I can move on to something worth while to read.

Part of the FBI series. These books are great. Catherine Coulter does alot of romance stuff to, but these FBI thrillers are great. Suspense and romance blended together to make the book a must-read. I could hardly put it down and then I couldn't wait to read the next one in the series.

This book is amazing! I love this series by Catherine Coulter, I have read them all, but this one was one of the best! If you enjoy reading Catherine's books and haven't tried this series, I highly recommend!

Decent book. Something I read between books I really wanted to read.
Another in the series about two married FBI agents who try to save a kidnapped boy who happens to be Sam, the son of Miles Kettering. Sherlock and Savich fly to eastern Tennessee, and aided by local sheriff Katie Benedict, they try to find Sam before it's too late. Good book, although not as good as some of the others in the series.
As usual, Ms Coulter keeps you turning the pages! Good book.
Hadn't read one of her books in awhile and I enjoyed this one alot. Very good characters and story line. Keeps you wanting to read more.
This book was very well written and had me interested from page one and there were times that I wish that I could have jumped in and helped the characters. Though I wanted them to fall in love. Well not saying anymore for I don't want to ruin the plot.
