I first read Christopher Pike young adult novels ages ago, and I really enjoyed his style of writing. So when I saw this novel by the same author, I hoped that I would enjoy it as well. The writing is still just as good, but the plot takes a few more turns in this novel written for an older, reading audience.

Christopher Pike was the first author I fell in love with and throughout my teen years I read (and purchased) every one of his books. Imagine how excited I was to find a new adult novel?! Having said all that, I was very disappointed in this book. It was extremely slow until about 3/4 of the way through. It finally started picking up, and all the pieces were coming together. I couldn't stop reading. When we finally reached the "answer" portion of the book - it was such a downer! Too many weird story lines were thrown in and nothing made sense. Overall, one of the worst books from Pike I've ever read, and I've read them all!
