Although this book is advertised an Eve Duncan book this book is mainly about Jane her foster daughter. The book starts off with a bang but then among the history of a 2000 year old death it loses somthing along the way. A crazed killer is killing all women who resemble this 2000 year old dead woman and Jane happens to look like her. At one point I thought it would have some sort of big explosive climax but kind of left the reader hanging. Yes, the bad guy bit it, yes the good guys won but there was almost no point in Eve's part of the book. She reconstructed a skull only to state "Dear God in Heaven." and then the book never explains. It's the cliffhanger from hell and makes this one book that cannot stand alone, which is my idea of an excellent thriller.

If you are a Patrical Cornwell fan you will fall in love with this author. Eve Duncon's job is put faces that has been destroyed by time or a murder.By supplying a face it is easier to indentify the victim and than hope the trail will lead to the murder.

Lovely mystery--easy to read and no graphic sex or violence. Just a nice, comfortable read instead of summer re-runs. Not complicated or confusing. Just a nice read--

Will she loose Jane, as she did Bonnie or will there be a happy ending? You will have to read this page-turner to find out.
