I enjoyed the book alot. Hollis is a regular columnist in Creative Loafing, an indie newspaper serving Atlanta. Being in Atlanta quite a bit I was able to place myself in many of the places she mentions in the book. Funny, sarcastic, and sometimes heartbreaking. A good read.

I LOVED this book! I actually read it after reading Ms. Gillespie's other book,"Confessions of a Recovering Slut: And Other Love Stories" which is one of my favorite books ever! Just don't read it around anyone because you'll be laughing and giggling so much, people will think you're nuts! Hollis Gillespie Rules!!!

Aside from some cuss words that she apparently uses daily, this book is rather good. In fact i really really liked it. I laughed at her way with words and how amuck her life ran at times. Hollis is down right funny as is her family. I loved her mom and dad. Yes this family needed some professional help, but who's doesn't once in awhile? She had 2 friends that helped glue her world together when she needed them that i found myself drawn to like even if they were rather unconventional. Hollis has a unique outlook at life and i found myself laughing and thinking she really did make the most of all she had and what she didn't have. She never "frosted the cake" when she told you how it was growing up. That is what endeared her to me.
