Two Books in One!!
The first book is about Preacher, the first mountain man and his journey with a company of US Dragoons to construct a fort in the west. Yet this was easier said than done since a group of white men had empowered a blackfoot indian to start a war. As always Preacher comes out on top only after twist after twist after turn and an insider that was setting the whole thing up.
The second book Preacher's protoge Smoke empowers and saves a town from destruction by two rough, renegade outfits.
Both books are predicable, but a good read.
