Loved this book. It's very raw in both action and language. Mariam is a strong female character. She is tough and sarcastic. You may like her, or you may not but she is still highly entertaining.

Mariam can tell you when and how you will die. She hates her gift/power, but it can come in handy.

Urban fantasy at it's best.

A very witty, entertaining book. It's a fast, fun read with kind of a dark subject matter.

I didn't care for this book. I even told my husband at least twice that I hated it. But hate is to strong, what I felt was nothing, absolutely nothing. The characters were flat and lifeless. I felt neither symphathy when something really bad was happening nor happiness when they caught a break. Despite Mr. Wendig's best efforts to create a bad-ass female character, all he did was use a sterotype for the ultimate misunderstood woman with a "gift". I will be skipping any more by this author.

P.S. I am not above swearing, but I was really, really tired of the filth that spilled from Miriam's mouth every time she opened it.
