Sweet sweet story! You can't imagine two less likely people to fall in love than Jeremy & Bernadette, and the journey to their HEA is funny, emotional, and full of heart. Great memorable characters, great dialogue and banter, but also serious emotional issues on both their parts that they eventually help each other with. Loved this story. First I've read from Jane Graves but won't be the last!

So far, I've read 3 books by this author, and have loved them all. I'm looking forward to her next release.

These are not really a series, but some of the characters show up in each book.

1. Hot Wheels and High Heels
2. Tall Tales and Wedding Veils
3. Black Ties and Lullabies
4. Heartstrings and Diamond Rings (releases 9/2011)

I love how well the whimsical titles fit each book perfectly!

Horrible. The heroine was a complete bi%ch to just about everyone she came into contact with and just had a bad attitude. I felt bad for the hero, who wasn't nearly as bad as the heroine made him out to be. If you want a light hearted romance to make you all warm and tingly inside while the hero and heroine fall into love this is no the book to do it. But if you want something to throw across the room? Works real good.

I give it 1 1/2 stars because I like the cover and I liked the hero. Anything higher than that would just be crazy because I really don't feel it deserves even that. :(

Bernadette Hogan is a bodyguard for hunky millionaire Jeremy Bridges. Jeremy is a playboy, always with someone new. When Bernadette has qualms about Jeremy's newest conquest, the sparks fly. In fact, she ends up spending the night and quits her job the next morning.

Jeremy is sure Bernie will come back, but she doesn't. Well, she does when she lets him know that she is pregnant. Jeremy takes the news well, and decides he wants to be more than a father, he wants Bernadette. But she is afraid that once a playboy, always a playboy and that Jeremy won't be able to hang up his womanizing ways.

He sets out to prove her wrong and what a ride it is! Great repartee', wonderful character development and humorous scenes, with a great cast of secondary characters complimenting the ups and downs of Bernie and Jeremy's romance. If you haven't read a book by Jane Graves, start with this one! It will tickle your funny bone and touch your heart. Dazzling and charming!!
