A woman's world is turned upside down when her estranged husband goes missing and she re-encounters another ex husband. While the cops are saying suicide, Jordan Quinn knows it's not and has to begin putting the pieces of the mystery together before she is next.

This was a good read; there are no lulls in the plot, and the ending is a great surprise!

I give this book four stars. Karen Harper spins a good story and you can't anticipate the twists and turns the plot will take. I recommend it to anyone who is a mystery fan.

Jordan Quinn was back in the Florida Everglades, where her teenage elopement with the fiercely proud Seminole Seth Cypress had ended. Now she was following her husband, brilliant scientist Lawerence Quinn, who was pursuing the cure for a disease shadowing humankind. It was a cure that might flow in the veins of the panther held sacred by the Seminoles, and hunted by someone who wanted it at any price. Then suddenly, horribly, Lawrence was gone, the panther was missing and Jordan was terribly afraid. A stalking enemy wanted her arrested for murder or else to be the victim of one. And the only person she could turn to was Seth Cypress, now Seminole chairman, who had bitterly fought her husband's plans and whose passionate love could be a mask for deadly hate....
